SQOOT Pure — What We Build (Clear Brief)

Owner: Jay (Founder) · Entity: Fortress Gold Inc. dba SQOOT Pure · Created: June 3, 2026 A plain-language summary of what SQOOT Pure does and how it’s built. Backed by 4 detail docs (coin spec, gift card + GoldWise teardown, inventory/Dillon Gage architecture, clickable prototype).

1. What SQOOT Pure is — one line

A modern app to buy, hold, and gift real gold — starting from any dollar amount. Think “Starbucks-simple” for owning physical gold, run by Fortress Gold Inc. (a FinCEN-registered precious-metals dealer).

2. What it does (the product)

Buy gold three ways: - By coin — 1/10 oz, 1/2 oz, 1 oz. - By dollar amount — put in $100 and receive fractional vaulted gold. - As a gift — send a $100 Gold Gift that becomes the recipient’s vaulted gold balance.

Hold gold: your balance shows ounces and live estimated value, backed 1:1 by physical gold held in insured custody.

Redeem gold — two paths: - Redeem for delivery — once your balance reaches an eligible deliverable threshold (e.g., a whole coin), request a physical coin shipped. Shipping, insurance, and fulfillment fees apply. (You can’t ship a fraction; fractions combine toward a deliverable unit.) - Redeem to cash — sell vaulted gold back at SQOOT’s current redemption price (spot − redemption spread); net proceeds settle to wallet/bank after review. (Requires the redemption/settlement backend + counsel/banking/compliance sign-off before launch — see the Redemption spec.)

No store, no location: fully digital. “Pickup” is replaced by “added to your holdings.”

3. Who it’s for

Occasion-first, gift-driven consumers — Diwali, birthdays, thank-yous — reached through creator partnerships (each creator shares a gift link). US-first, where competitors aren’t yet.

4. How it’s built (the engine)

The heart of it: fractions live in SQOOT’s software; the metal is real and whole.

Buy whole coins from Dillon Gage (price-locked) → hold thin inventory → sell fractions off our own backed ledger → reorder a coin when sold down → ship whole coins on delivery.

Why not “buy each $100 from the supplier on demand” (just-in-time)? Because Dillon Gage only sells whole coins, with minimum order sizes — there’s no “$100 of fractional gold” to buy. So fractionalizing has to be our system. That’s why we hold inventory.

5. The technology stack (who does what)

Layer Tool / partner
App (buy, hold, gift, KYC, holdings) SQOOT Pure platform
Live gold price + whole-coin supply Dillon Gage — FizTrade API (quotes + price-lock)
Vault (allocated, insured, audited) Dillon Gage / IDS depository
Payments Stripe (card) + Plaid (bank/ACH)
Identity / KYC + AML screening identity-verification provider
The fractional ledger + inventory SQOOT’s own software (the core build)

6. What makes it different

7. Compliance (non-negotiable — we’re a gold dealer)

8. Status & build sequence

Done (this phase): product design spec, gift-card + competitor teardown, inventory/DG architecture, clickable prototype.

Next build order: 1. Core engine — dollar-denominated buy + fractional ledger + backing invariant. 2. Inventory + Dillon Gage (FizTrade price-lock + reorder) + IDS vault. 3. Payments (Stripe/Plaid) + KYC/AML. 4. $100 Gold Gift (buy/send → recipient KYC → recipient receives vaulted gold balance). 5. Redeemfor delivery (ship a coin at the deliverable threshold) and to cash (sell-back at the redemption price); cash redemption needs the redemption/settlement backend + a liquidation path (Dillon Gage buyback) + AML. 6. Occasion designs + creator gift links; later group gift.

Gift model (safer path): a $100 Gold Gift purchases fractional vaulted gold now, credited to the recipient’s vault balance on redemption; delivery unlocks only at the minimum deliverable threshold. We avoid a stored-value gift card, which would trigger gift-card law, money-transmission, unclaimed-property, refund, and expiration rules.

Customer promise: Buy gold. Send gold. Hold gold. Redeem gold — for delivery or to cash.

Decisions still open: is cash redemption required at launch; minimum deliverable unit; redemption spread %; payout (wallet vs bank) + settlement timing; liquidation partner (Dillon Gage buyback vs netting vs LP); spread % per coin size; confirm FizTrade API + IDS vault terms with the DG rep.

v3 — June 3, 2026. Updated: Redeem = delivery OR cash (we don’t promise “no selling”); cash redemption gated on backend + counsel/banking/compliance. v2 applied: 1:1-backed custody wording, gift = vaulted gold now, hard no-oversell rule, neutral GoldWise framing. Details in the five companion docs (incl. Redemption spec).
